London’s queer ESEA (East and SouthEast Asian) rave GGI 끼 returns on September 29 to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most significant and beloved dates of the lunar calendar.
Mid-Autumn Festival centres the values of familial gathering, thanksgiving and ancestor veneration, and celebrates the story of moon goddess Chang’e and her companion Jade Rabbit.
For traditions sake there’ll be a mooncake tasting ceremony for the first guests through the door, so be sure to arrive early if you want to take part – doors open at 10PM!
