There’s loads happening at The Yard for young people. We are committed to inclusivity, quality and exploring the idea of what theatre and storytelling can be for young people. From our littlest 6-year-old Yardlings to our firebrand 16-25 year olds, if you’re young and have something to say, The Yard is the place to be to find your voice.

Yardlings
We work hyper-locally and with local schools to deliver Yardlings, offering children and young people aged 4-11 the opportunity to communicate their creative ideas, collaborate with some of the most exciting artists making work today, and write, rehearse and perform their own stories to a live audience.
Yard Young Artists: 11-15
We run Yard Young Artists for individuals aged 11-15. It’s a year of performing, making friends, and creative experimentation. This group is for curious and enthusiastic young artists at any stage of their creative journey.
Yard Young Artists: 16-21
We run Yard Young Artists for individuals aged 16-21. Our in-house group of brave and brilliant young creatives meets weekly to learn from professional artists how to create theatre and perform it on stage.
The Maker’s Guild
For 6-12 year olds, we offer The Maker’s Guild to discover, play and make at our free art club for the local community. With a professional artist, we play creative games, experiment with different art techniques, and plan amazing parties for the local community.
