These past twelve months, 6 fantastic artists have developed brand new ideas and supercharged their practice with support from The Yard and monumental talents within theatre and performance.

Now it’s time to celebrate! 

Join us on Monday 1st November 2021 at 7pm for a free evening spent toasting the first ever Live Lab with:

  • Complimentary drinks and vegetarian / vegan food from in-house chef, Taheena in the bar.
  • Live presentations and discussions from the artists in the theatre.
  • Special guest performances and music in the bar.
  • An insight into plans for the future.

ABOUT LIVE LAB
 
Last year, six exceptional artists were chosen from over 400 applications to take part in Live Lab. Run in memory of Howard Davies CBE, a director renowned for supporting promising talent, Live Lab‘s mission was to do the same for these artists at a critical time.
 
They’re becoming movement directors on The Yard’s brand new show, winning Netflix Documentary awards, performing their work in two week runs at The Barbican, launching expansive new projects with young black women, and much, much more.

This special event is a coming together of all the people who made Live Lab possible, and who care about the future of theatre. The energy and ideas you find in this room will animate the sector for years to come.
